IntroductionKeeping patients proficient is essential in todays health c be system, but patient caoutchouc events that violate that safety argon increasing from each one year. It was only recently, that the centering on patient safety was reinforced by a cogitation prepared by Institute of medicine (IOM) entitled To err is human, create a safer health system(Wakefield & Iliffe,2002).This report found that approx-imately 44,000 to 98,000 remainders occur each year referable to medical errors and that the majority was preventable. Deaths due to medical errors draw deaths due to many other causes such as like human immunodeficiency virus infections, breast gitcer and even traffic accidents (Wakefield & Iliffe, 2002). After this IOM reports, President Clinton set up quality interagency coordination task force with the help of government agencies. These government agencies are responsible for making health pol-icies regarding patient safety to which every HCO moldiness follow (S chulman & Kim, 2000). Patient safety must be the first precedency in the health pity system, and it is widely accepta-ble that unnecessary harm to a patient must be controlled.Two million babies and mother die due to preventable medical errors annually worldwide due to pregnancy related to complications and there is worldwide increase in nosocomial infections, which is almost tinct to 5-10% of radical admissions occurring in the hospitals. (WHO Patient Safety Research, 2009). Total 1.4 million patients are victims of hospital-acquired infection. (WHO Patient Safety Research, 2009). Unsafe infection practice leads to 1.3 million death word wide and loss of 26 millions of life while ad-verse do drugs events are increasing in health guard and 10% of total admitted patients are facing ad-verse drug events. Most im-portant part of the problem is to find the problem, and then only we can fix it.ConclusionIt is right of a patient to be safe at health care brass instrument. Patient comes to the hospital for the treatment non to get another disease. Patient safety is the most important push through for health care organizations. Patient safety events cost of thousands of deaths and millions of dollars an-nually. Even though the awareness of patient safety is spreading worldwide but alleviate we have to accomplish many things to achieve safe environment for patients in the hospitals. Proper admin-istrative changes are required to keep health care organization safe. We need organizational changes, stiff leadership, strong health care policies and effective health care laws to make patients safer.
